SUTHERLAND SHIRE

One Meal Sutherland Shire provides free weekly community meals at four locations - Miranda, Engadine, Cronulla and Sutherland

We’re a 100% volunteer-run organisation, dedicated to meeting the needs of our community’s most vulnerable. Established in 2016, One Meal Sutherland provides hot meals, dessert, fruit and take home breakfast packs at a sit-down meal.

When possible, clothes, blankets and toiletries are provided.

We offer free community meals every week at the following locations. These meal services are open to anyone in need.

Other services

One Meal Sutherland Shire collaborates with other non-profits in the area to provide referrals into case management and a range of counselling services.

One Meal Sutherland Shire in collaboration with Shire Salvos, Hopefield & Orana, provide approximately 350 - 400 food hampers per week via the Sutherland Shire Community Co-Op.

Consisting of fresh produce, non-perishables, bread and frozen meals we are able to assist many other Shire agencies to support the vulnerable within our community.

In 2025, One Meal Sutherland Shire began to support 3 local High Schools with their student breakfast program. Since the program’s inception, we’ve been able to make a measurable impact on the lives of many students.

Now, hundreds of children have access to a morning meal that they need to stay nourished and engaged at school.

We plan to expand this program further in 2026.
