About us
We are a volunteer-powered, not-for-profit organisation providing food support to people in need across Sydney.
Our story
One Meal is a Sydney-based not-for-profit founded in 2014 to provide food support to homeless, vulnerable, and at-risk community members.
Starting with a single Christmas meal in Green Park, it has grown into a network serving over 19,000 meals every week to people in need across multiple Sydney locations, delivering hot dinners, breakfast packs, hampers, and essential items like blankets and toiletries—all free of charge and without judgement. Powered entirely by volunteers, sponsors, and donors, One Meal not only addresses food insecurity but also fosters human connection, inclusion, and dignity, working with local agencies to support those facing homelessness, financial hardship, domestic violence, isolation, and other challenges in Sydney’s growing “hidden hunger crisis.”
